In this section, learn how to navigate and use the Backup Module home screen.



Options

Search

Using the search bar, type in the exact part number (including dashes) or a few keywords of the instrument name in order to find a specific instrument. For example: search "forcep" to filter the list to only see instruments with the word "forcep" in their name.

Scan

Use a barcode scanner to scan a backup location barcode. This will filter the list down to that specific location.

Add

Supervisor level users and above have the ability to add new backup location records. Click the Add button to create a new backup record.

Actions

  • Hide Pics - To remove pictures from view, hide pictures.
  • Show Pics - If pictures have been hidden, select to make them appear again.
  • Delete - Supervisor level users and above have the ability to delete a backup location record. Select Delete to remove a backup record.

Qty Sweep Mode

Check the box to begin a quantity sweep of your backup inventory. 

Quantity Sweeps
It is recommended to perform quantity sweeps of your backup inventory on a fairly regular basis. It can be assigned as a monthly, weekly, or even daily task for specific staff members to complete. Regular quantity sweeps will ensure the information in the Backup Module remains as up-to-date and correct as possible.

List View

Click on the pictures to pull up a high-definition image of the instruments with zoom capabilities.

Desc

Standard instrument name.

Part #

All part numbers stored at each location. The primary part number is the first one in the list.

Qty

The current number of instruments in each location. It is a modifiable field with no role or permission limitations. Anyone can increment or decrement the Qty.This can also be managed in the Detail view.

Location

The name of the rack, row, and bin for each backup record.

Par

The standard number of instruments stored in this location. Supervisor level users and above have the ability to edit the Par level from the Backup home screen. Staff level users have this field grayed out so they cannot edit them. This can also be managed in the Detail view.

Min

The minimum number of instruments that should ever exist in this location or the "Min Order Up To Level." When this value is reached, or before, it is time to order up to the Par level at best and the Min level at worst. Supervisor level users and above have the ability to edit the Min level from the Backup home screen. Staff level users have this field grayed out so they cannot edit them.This can also be managed in the Detail view.

Last Use

This field is updated each time the quantity is modified.
