In this section, learn how to add, edit, and delete a sterilizer such such as an autoclave, low temp sterilizer, and HLD unit.


Options

Add Button

Add a sterilizer. Enter the sterilizer information on the right (described below) and select Save.

Actions Button

Actions -> Add

Add a sterilizer to Sonar. Enter the information on the right (described below) and select Save (same action as above).

Actions -> Delete Selected Row

Select a sterilizer and delete it from Sonar.

Actions -> Print Labels

Select a printer and quantity of sterilizer labels to print.

Actions -> Print Barcode Report

Actions -> Barcode Image

Select a sterilizer to view its barcode image and digits.

Edit

To edit a sterilizer: select a sterilizer, edit the new information, and select Save.


Sterilizer Properties

Note that the sterilizer property information options may change based on the sterilize method chosen.

Method

The method of sterilization: ETO, HLD, Low Temp (Sterrad, VPro), or Steam.

Name

The sterilizer name.

Assembly Loc

BD Requirement

None - A Bowie Dick (Dart Test) is not required to be ran prior to other load parameters.

Every24Hours - A Bowie Dick is required to be ran(and marked as pass) 24 hours after the last Bowie Dick and before other load parameters can be ran.

EveryMidnight - A Bowie Dick is required to be ran (and marked as pass) after midnight and before other load parameters.

BI Requirement

Always - A BI (Biological Indicator) is required on every load excluding daily/weekly maintenance testing loads (BD, Leak, Warm Up).

Complex - A BI is required on the first non-maintenance testing load of the day and on loads that contain implants.

CI Requirement

Always - A CI (Chemical Indicator) is required on every loadexcluding daily/weekly maintenance testing loads (BD, Leak, Warm Up).

None - A CI is not required for any load parameters.

Min Leak Rate

The minimum leak rate.

Ask Users For Load Interface Ref ID

Interface Ref ID

The reference ID of the sterilizer to be synced with Sonar to upload the sterilizer receipt directly into the loads associated.

Down For Maintenance

Select to indicate this sterilizer is down for maintenance. Select Save afterward. Upon selecting this sterilizer in the Sterilize Module, users will be notified that it is down for maintenance. Users will also be blocked from putting the load into the sterilizing status.

Selecting Down For Maintenance will automatically add a maintenance date start that allows for a note to be added. Upon turning off the Down For Maintenance button, a maintenance date end will be automatically added as well.
