Top Buttons

Search Bar

Search for an event by any of its attributes. For example: Search Contaminated to see events with Subtype Contaminated instrument/Bioburden 

Add Button

Start the process of adding an Event. For more information on this, visit Event Detail.

Actions 

-> Delete: Delete the selected Event


Filter Options

Type

Select a Type of event from the dropdown menu to filter the list. Note that All is the default.

Config
Event Types are completely customizable! They must be set up ahead of time in the Facility Module on the Quality Tab. Admin level users, visit the Operationalizing section for more information on the configuration of these Event Types.

Subtype

After selecting a Type, the Subtype filter will become available. Select from the predefined options to filter the list. Note that All is the default.

Level

The Event Subtypes are grouped during configuration into larger buckets. Select a Level to filter the list. Level types are:

  • OR Infection - Event resulted in or could result in patient infection
  • OR Hurt - Event resulted in or could result in patient injury
  • OR Delay - Event resulted in a delay to the procedure
  • SPD Hurt - Event resulted in or could result in SPD technician injury
  • SPD Delay - Event resulted in a delay to SPD processes

Facility

The default is to filter to events for the facility you are currently located at. This is based on the location listed under your name in the top navigation bar. Other facilities in your health system can be selected to filter the list.

Config
The Events Home Screen is a great place to go to look at the detail behind events at a specific facility. For more in-depth filtering and trend identification, head over to the Quality Dashboard in the Ascendco Analytics Engine - Domo! If you do not have access to Domo, reach out to your dedicated Ascendco CSM today.

Status

Select a specific Status to filter the list. Status types are:

  • Occurred - Events that have not been accepted or investigated yet. They have simply occurred
  • Investigating - Leadership is actively looking into these events
  • Accept - Leadership has reviewed these events and completed any necessary investigations or follow ups
  • Appeal - There is some confusion or disagreement related to these events. Most likely needs further discussion with OR and SPD leadership

When

Select a timeframe option or choose a specific date to filter the list. Note that Past 7 Days is the default. Options for the When filter are:

  • All - Every event that has occurred within the selected filter parameters
  • Today - All events recorded today
  • Past 7 Days - All events recorded in the past week
  • Past 30 Days - All events recorded in the past month
  • Custom - Use the calendar to select or type in the date of a specific day to see all events recorded that day

Accountable

Select a specific person. This will filter the list to all of the events for which they have been marked as Accountable.
