Definition & Configuration

What is a generic pack?

A generic pack is an item that allows you to free type what it is in assembly. This can be used for instances in which a single product from an item needs to be processed or for quickly assembling an item that is not in Sonar, but needs to be reprocessed immediately.

Create a Generic Pack

In The Items Module, create an item and name it Pack Generic - (Reprocessing Method). This will allow the user to know select the pack that fits the reprocessing requirements. Create as many different generic packs as necessary. ie: Pack Generic - Steam IUSS or Pack Generic - VPro Flexible.

Next, select the Generic check box in Items Module -> Specific Item -> Process Tab.

User Access

User access to assemble a generic pack can be configured in Facilities Module -> Users -> Prefs Tab

Assemble a Generic Pack

1) Search for Generic and select the applicable item.

2) Enter a name for the item.

3) Click Done and print production labels as necessary.
