Users - Prefs Tab

In this section, learn about the Facilities Module -> Users -> Prefs Tab.This can assist you in creating / editing a user and managing their Sonar access.

Activities Area

Can Manage Activities

Select to allow a user to manage the options available in the Activities Module.

Assembly Area

Allowed Assembly Difficulty Level

Assign the user's assembly difficulty level.  For example, a user with an assembly difficulty level of 3 will be able to assemble trays with a difficulty level of 1, 2, or 3. They will be blocked from assembling trays with a difficulty level higher than their assigned user level.

Can Print Permanent Labels

Select to allow a user access to printing permanent labels for items.

Ask for Badge in Assemble

Select to require a user to scan their badge after scanning or manually adding an item to assemble.

Can Override Assembly Red Screens

Select to allow the user the ability to override Red Screens in the Assemble Module.

Can Use Generic Pack

Select to allow a user access to creating a generic pack in assembly. For more information on a generic pack, visit Generic Pack.

Auto Print and Done in Assembly

Select to enable a user to click Done in assembly and automatically print a count sheet and production label to the assigned printer of the workstation the user is signed in at. For more information on default printers for workstations, visit Configure Workstations.

Hide Missing as of in Assembly

Select to hide a user from seeing the note during assembly that documents how long an instrument has been missing from a specific item inventory.

Can Access Assembly Needs

Turn off to hide a user from seeing the Assembly Needs List on the Assemble Module Home Screen. For more information on the Assembly Needs List, visit Assembly - Needs List.

Can Skip Assembly Difficulty Check

Sonar will not look at the Assembly Difficulty Level when a user is attempting to assemble a tray if this is on.

Cases Area

Can Pick Unsterile Inv in Cases

Select to allow a user to bypass the unsterile Red Screen notification when picking in the Cases Module.

Controls Area

Can Edit Controls

Select to allow a user to edit the Control information in the Sterilize Module.

Deliver Area

Ask For Name For Deliver

Select to require the user to scan their badge prior to delivering items to a specific location in the Deliver Module.

Can Deliver Unsterile Inv

Select to allow a user to bypass the unsterile Red Screen alert in the Deliver Module.

Education Area

Is an Education Validator

Select for the user to have access to competency sign offs in the education module. To learn more about the Edu Validator, visit the Education Overview.

Can see other Education Users

Allow the user to view the detailed profile of other users in the Education Module.

Can Access Others Coaching

Allow the user to view the Quality Coaching events recorded for other users. To learn more about Coaching, visit the Quality Coaching section.

Items Area

Can Skip Replace Every X

Allow the user to add an item without the Replace Every X field filled in. To learn more about this, visit the Items Module.

Loaners Area

Can Add Loaners

Select to allow a user to add a new item if they cannot find what they are looking for during a Loaner Drop Off. To learn more, visit the Loaners Module.

Can modify dropped off loaners

Select to allow a user to modify the items and information within Loaner Drop Offs.

Locator Area

Can Delete Locator Scans

Select to allow the user to delete scans in the Locator Module.

Other Area

Default Mobile Module

The module that a user is placed into upon logging into Sonar on a mobile device.

Can Print Others Badges

Select to allow the user to print other users' badges using the Badge button.

Product Catalog Area

Can See Assemble Tab in Product Catalog

Select to turn on the Assemble Tab in the Product Catalog Module. To learn more, visit the Product Catalog section.

Can Edit Price of Prod in Product Catalog

It is possible to record your facility's purchase price for specific instruments in the Product Catalog. Turn this on to allow a user to edit this information.

Can Set Supplier Product Prices

It is possible to record your facility's purchase price for specific instruments in the Product Catalog. Turn this on to allow a user to edit this information.

Can Update Sup Prods

Select to allow the user to update supplier specific products.

Quality Area

Easy Add OR Events

Select for the user to have condensed quality event reporting on the mobile application.

Can Access Other Users Quality Events

Select to allow the user to view quality events that are associated to other users.

Can Delete Quality Events

The user can delete quality events if this toggle is turned on.

Reports Area

Can Access All Reports

Select to provide the user with access to every report available to your facility.

Can Access Others Data in Reports

With this turned on, the user can see information and productivity related to other users in the Reports Module.

Sterilize Area

Can Edit/Fix Sterilizer Loads

Select to allow a user access to the Fix Button in the Sterilize Module. For more information on the Fix Button, visit Edit a Load.

Ask for Badge in Sterilize

Select to require a user to scan their badge upon adding a load in sterilize.

Can Override Red Screens in Sterilize

Select to allow the user the ability to override Red Screens in the Sterilize Module.

Can Delete Sterilizer Loads

Select to allow a user to delete sterilized loads that are not marked as Released or Failed.

Can Sterilize Inc Items

Select to allow a user to sterilize incomplete items.

Support Area

Ascendco/Sonar Support Person

The user is an Ascendco employee. This is used to exclude them from facility reporting.

Washers Area

Can Edit/Fix Washer Loads

Select to allow a user access to the Fix Button in the Washers Module. For more information on the Fix Button, visit Edit a Load.

Can Override Washer Red Screens

Select to allow the user the ability to override Red Screens in the Washer Module.
